This was considered a skill (and an art form) back in the days of the Atari ST. There were several notable composers out there and lots (and lots) of people wanted to use the composers’ music in their own demos/games.
Whilst I won’t be uploading all of the rips I did, mainly because they’re either long gone and/or they are now available in the much cleaner SNDH format, I did write some guides for Maggie (a disk-based magazine) which covered how to extract certain types of music by particular composers.
Once I’ve found the original articles, I will upgrade them to a modern format, add some screenshots and then post them onto this page.
