This was considered a skill (and an art form) back in the days of the Atari ST. There were several notable composers out there and lots (and lots) of people / groups wanted to use the composers’ music in their own demos/games.
Whilst I won’t be uploading all of the rips I did, mainly because they’re either long gone and/or they are now available in the much cleaner SNDH format, I did write some guides for Maggie (a disk-based magazine) which covered how to extract certain types of music by particular composers.
Once I’ve found the original articles, I will upgrade them to a modern format, add some screenshots and then post them onto this page.
